STILL AT HOME!

Today Blair went to clinic for the usual blood test and his ANC is still high and he's doing great! In fact we don't return until Friday for another check-up. I really thank God for an almost four week vacation so far it's been so fun and exhausting and the same time. It feels like normal again!

Thanks everyone for all your prayers!

STILL NO ADMISSION!

Praise God this day has come
precious anointing of my dear son

many have prayed several have wept
pleading was done promises kept

we all wanted the same thing
Blair to be healed the joy bells to ring

So when I got the call
the doc says to tell you no leukemia at all

all I could do was jump and scream
thank you Jesus as the tears did stream

I'm truly unworthy of all you do
You've lifted me up and carried me through

You took a situation that could have been bad
turned it around so blessings are had

I will never ask why he got sick
I tell him he's special specifically picked

To be an example for many to see
Prayer made the difference in the outcome for me

THANK GOD HE'S IN REMISSION!

We found out today that 0.0% leukemia remains in his bone marrow. I jumped up and down thanking Jesus for this wonderful miracle. I am so grateful for all the prayer only God can move mountains but faith and prayer can move God!
We are still at home, tomorrow he goes for his last dose of chemo and then if his counts are high enough we can stay home until Monday if not he's admitted tomorrow. Whatever happens we don't care because we've enjoyed all the time at home we've had.

Thanks again for all the pray its been a blessing.

This was taken at Chucky Cheese Monday night before we thought we were going to be admitted. We had a lot of fun!

UNEXPECTED!

We spent the night at Renucci House to be here for Blair's 8:15 a.m. admission, only to find out that Blair's counts are soooo good we can go home. His WBC was 13,000 and ANC was 11,000. Because his counts are good the doctors said he will get chemo like an outpatient so today, thursday and back for admission on Saturday. So God blessed our family with an additional four days. For this I am truly thankful.

WOW HIS COUNTS ARE THROUGH THE ROOF!

On Tuesday we found out his WBC was over 6,000 his ANC was 2,240 and his platelets were 486,000. Because his counts were so good he didn't have to go back today for another check-up. Lord willing we will enjoy our last weekend at home before it starts over again.

Thanks so much everyone for all your prayer and support. I truly feel it's made a difference in our situation.

HE'S STILL DOING GREAT!

So far he has had no fever and has been playing a lot with his cousins and sister. If he continues to stay without fever we aren't due back for admission until January 17th. Then he will get his bone marrow biopsy and chemo in his spine. By the 20th of January we should know if he is in remission. So pray for remission.

THANKFUL!

My son has leukemia and its pretty sad
But try having this with only one car to be had

To go to work all day
and back to the hospital to sleep the night away

Only to see your other kids every few weeks
Because your alone and to your family you don't speak

Or hear your child tell you they want to die
Leukemia's bad but give that a try

To stay seven months straight at the hospital
While doctors say 20% chance of survival

Theses are families I've met while here
they've touched my heart and become so dear

I know Blair's situation isn't the best
But God has shielded me from so much mess

I have a great family and a decent car
My daughter is with me never too far

I don't have to work so I can stay
and play with Blair all through the day

Thank you God for Your many blessings

I don't deserve all that you do
But I'll try my best to worship you

To show through obedience how much I care
That I'm never alone your always there

GOING HOME!

Today we are going home! Blair's ANC is 576 and his platelets are over 200,000. Thank God for Blair's rapid recovery. We were supposed to be here for four weeks and we haven't even been here three. I am so excited! I thank God for how he has touched Blair.

ANC IS 470!

Yesterday his ANC was 35 today it's 470! In the world of counts everyone knows this is huge.

If this is pain I want more
anythings worth the feeling I get
when my Savior's so close tradegy I forget

I know the world wants me sad to wallow in self pity
I disappoint them by rejoicing almost gitty

I can't help but look sorrow in the face
and say I'm not alone it's part of the race

My life is shaped by Two Great Hands
I refuse to be sad at whatever he plans

It's all for my good although I can't see
I trust Him more since pain has happened to me

I know the world wants me sad to wallow in self pity
I disappoint them by rejoicing almost gitty

HIS ANC IS 35!

He's moving in the right direction his platlets continue to move upward on their own and his ANC went from 0 to 35 overnight. Lord willing we will be able to go home this weekend. He has 29% monocytes which mean the neutrophils aren't far behind. So I'm very happy with how he has been doing I feel like sreaming it from the rooftop "Blair's a walking miracle."

HIS PLATELETS ARE GROWING!

Blair's platelets went from 101,000 yesterday to 110,000 today. This means his bone marrow is starting to work and make his own cells. Blair still has an unusual amount of energy bowling a 259 on the wii. We have so much to be thankful for and appreciate all the prayer.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Blair's ANC is a big fat 0. Lord willing he'll climb up from here. He's doing really good he ran the halls yesterday and they had a little party on the floor after the new year rang in. The four of us went blowing the silent kazoos. We had a lot of fun just being together and Blair being healthy. The doctor told us they like to see boring and in our case it's been pretty boring. As you can see he still has his hair! A nurse was commenting on him today like "wow he hasn't lost his hair".
We ring in the new year with so much hope and a lot to be thankful for. Our son has gone through two intensive rounds of chemo and is running halls, playing the wii and attacking his sister. I feel that Blair's situation has been truly miraculous. Blair himself said that he wanted to take his medicine because he wants Jesus to make him healthy. A 5 year-old knows Who holds the future and I couldn't be more proud.
Keep praying for his health and no fevers!
